What the Enquiry form collects
Company name, contact person, email address, the service you need and your message, plus optional phone number, cargo type, estimated quantity, vessel name and expected arrival or operation date. We also record when the enquiry was sent and from which page. Please do not include bank details, passwords or other sensitive personal information in your message.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, including any quotation or follow-up about it, and to keep a record of enquiries received. We do not use your details for newsletters or marketing, and we do not sell or rent them.
Where it is kept and who sees it
Each enquiry is stored privately in our website’s administration area, which only our authorised staff can access, and is emailed to our company email. Our website is hosted by Hostinger and our email by Google Workspace, and both store and process this information on our behalf. Google and our hosting provider may process information outside India. We share enquiry details with others only where needed to provide a service you have asked us for, or where the law requires it.
Spam protection
To prevent spam, the form limits how many enquiries can be sent from one connection. For this, it keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, not the address itself, for one hour after an enquiry is sent. If a form cannot be sent (for example, because a field needs correcting), what you typed is held for up to 10 minutes so it can be shown back to you, and then expires automatically.
When you visit the website
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. As with most websites, our hosting provider’s servers record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site also uses two Google services:
- Every page loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser information.
- The Contact page shows an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
Google’s use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or marketing, and our own pages do not set cookies during a normal visit. If you view the map on our Contact page, Google may set its own cookies. Staff who log in to manage the website use the sign-in cookies WordPress needs.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with the enquiry and any business that follows, and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements. We review stored enquiries periodically and delete those we no longer need, from our website and our email. Copies held in our service providers’ backups are removed as those backups expire.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details above. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information where the law requires it.
Security
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are stored in a private area available only to authorised staff, and the form includes protection against automated submissions.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and show the date of the latest update at the top.
