Capabilities

L.M. Hati & Co. holds an active stevedoring licence and is a registered Steamer Agent with Paradip Port Authority for the coordination of vessel calls. The firm is also registered under Udyam (MSME), with registered activities covering land-side and water-side cargo handling and shipping cargo agency.

We provide loaders, excavators, cranes, grabs and forklifts, either from our own equipment or arranged for the operation, according to the cargo and the handling method. We have our own tippers for port-side cargo movement and arrange additional tippers when a requirement calls for more.

We have access to cargo plot space at Paradip Port for storage linked to our cargo operations. For larger quantities, additional port plot space can be arranged, depending on the requirement. Space for a specific operation is confirmed at the enquiry stage.

Experience across dry bulk, break-bulk and project cargo, including coal, pet coke and coke, iron ore, iron ore fines and pellets, manganese and chrome ore, gypsum, limestone, fertilizer and steel.

Documented work at Paradip dating back to 1985, and practical coordination across the parties an operation depends on: the vessel and its agents, port authorities, cargo interests and the railway, including rake placement and release within the railway's free time.

The firm is led by Managing Partner Lal Mohan Hati. Stevedoring is organised hatch by hatch with on-board supervision throughout, and cargo operations ashore are also supervised. Work is planned and carried out with attention to safe working practices and port rules.
